The MoonWalk

Edinburgh 2012

Our very own Sharon Cleghorn signs up for the 2012 Edinburgh MoonWalk.

At the end of 2011 I had the mad idea that I needed a challenge, a physical challenge, one that not only got me moving a bit more, and ultimately fitter, but also one that would help raise some money for a worthy cause.  The Edinburgh MoonWalk seemed like the answer.  We have all been affected by cancer in one way or another, I lost my mother to it 2 years ago and only last month lost an

old friend at the age of 46.

So despite my better judgement I signed up for the full 26.2 miles.  Training has started in earnest and despite getting lost once or twice I have managed to get a few miles under my belt.  I know it won’t be easy and I know my body won’t thank me for it straight away but I am determined to get across the finish line one way or another and your support would really help me do that.

If you would like to support me and a very worthy cause then please go to my online fundraising page:
